Takin' it to the Streets

With the resurgence of her No Doubt rock star lifestyle (No Doubt has reunited and is touring again this summer), Gwen Stefani takes her L.A.M.B. clothing inspiration along for the ride; away from the Harajuku lovers and toward the heart of Hindu with the edginess that we've come to know and love.

An eclectic mix of street chic meets Hindi haute, L.A.M.B.'s Spring/Summer '09 collection keeps it cool and casual. Incorporating some of spring's hottest trends: day-glo neon, off the shoulder styles, and tie-dye touches, Luxe has just received some ideal pieces to rock for your summer itinerary of pool lounging and festival hopping.

For all of you Lambies out there, get ready for new silhouettes and vibrant graphic prints. Never sacrificing comfort and style, these pieces fit the bill perfectly. What we here at Luxe love about Gwen is that she herself embodies all things that her clothing line stands for. Not to mention she is one of the front runners in trend setting and a style icon.

You too can take home a little piece of the rock star lifestyle, or at least the wardrobe, with an item from our newest L.A.M.B. collection. And for you rockers out there with a budget more suited of a starving artist, we even have some tantalizing L.A.M.B. handbags on sale that will convince anyone that you're living it luxe. Embody the attitude that these L.A.M.B. pieces evoke, and you will be crowd surfing, topping charts, and trashing hotel rooms in no time.

Torn Tanks Take it Up a Notch

It's that time again in Austin. Time to break out the self tanner, cut-off shorts, and breezy tops. Today's 90 degree forecast got me thinking; what pieces from Luxe's fabulous new spring collection do I want to welcome in as my summer staples?

It seems I've had my eye on one collection in particular--tank tops from Torn by Ronny Kobo. Nothing suits my boho-chic summer wardrobe more than a lightweight, sexy, adorned tank that is more sizzle than simple. Once those temperatures begin to rise, I find myself wanting to take the comfortable, casual route with an easy tank top and jean shorts ensemble. But who wants to be blah when the summer is blazing?! That's why I love these Torn tanks. Throw one on with a pair of our Sevens, Current Elliot, or Anlo jean cut off shorts and get ready for the festivities of summer! The perfect mix of flair and function, Torn tanks provide a shortcut to summer chic.

My personal favorite and next Luxe purchase is the white tank with embellished elephant graphic. It's vibrant with color, and mixes in metallic details that compliment my gladiator sandals to perfection. Plus, the breeziness and light color of this tank keeps me from getting too heated and ensures I will be looking cool.

Other highlights include a cobalt blue tank with black zebra head graphic, cheetahs perched on a white backdrop to bring out your inner animal, and fabulous burnout prints that are sure to please.

But what I love about these tanks even more than their stylish accents are the price! Ranging from $68 to $75 dollars, Torn tanks are an easy addition to any closet and make for an instant summer favorite. Plus, I know that I will be rocking these racer back tanks time, and time again. I can even pair it with a high waisted skirt and heels for a hot night on the town. Celebrities love Torn tanks, too! Everyone from Gossip Girl's Leighton Meister, Lindsey Lohan, and Lauren Conrad are crazy for Kobo!

From festivals to summer lovin' date nights, Torn tanks fit into any occasion. Layer with a vest, throw it on over a swimsuit, or pair it with skinny jeans and lots of accessories. One thing's for sure, the possibilities are endless! Come checkout our selection at Luxe and start your summer off right!

Protect Your Hair From Heat!

Is your hair bogged down and damaged from the brutal heat of your blow-dryer or flat iron? Well, let's face it, we are not going to even think about giving up our "cannot live without" hair appliances, so I am not asking you to. I am just suggesting you to add another "cannot live without" product to your daily routine- a heat protectant from Kerastase or Shu Uemura!

First, Kerastase Ciment Thermique is a leave in heat protectant applied to towel-dried hair before you blow dry. It is for damaged or weakened hair, adding instant body and life back to you hair that heat has taken away. Second, Kerastase Nectar Thermique has changed my hair life! The Nectar Thermique is Kerastase's newest heat protectant for dry hair. This nourishing cream is also applied before you blow dry and unlike the Ciment Thermique, the Nectar acts as a styling agent to set curls and other styles after you are done blow-drying. I love this product so much! It give me so much moisture and such a great blow-out every time I use it, I no longer flat iron my hair! Finally, Shu Uemura's Irondesign is not only a great heat protectant and styling agent, but it adds an amazing shine and a soft touch!

With summer just around the corner, our hair can only take so much heat. These products will help you put strength and moisture back into your hair that appliances have taken away. Come in today, and we will be happy to give you a free sample!
