We are SO pumped for this event! Please join us for our second LOCAL IS LUXE art opening featuring new art works by local artist Kevin Greer! View live hair demonstrations by Shu Uemura: the Art of Hair while you groove to the beat of local DJ blend*e! Enjoy delicious cocktails, courtesy of Paula's Texas Orange, and tasty wines by Metric Liquor. Hors d'oeuvres by Viva Chocolato and Chick-fil-A will be served! Shoppers will receive a special discount off merchandise purchased during the event and drawings for gift bags and gift certificates will be held!

The Ladies of Luxe have been busy! This past weekend, we were keeping it busy slingin' some Seven jeans at a 25% discount! Don't worry if you missed out on all the fun, we will be bringing you more savings and specials in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Tonight, some of our ladies will gettin' pretty at Chick-fil-A at Braker Lane & 183. The "CHICK NITE" from 5:30-8:30 pm is a great way to decompress and wind down after a week of working so hard! Our resident makeup artist, Wendy K., will be on hand to touch up your makeup while you receive nail color and a massage. Chick-fil-A and a massage. At the same time. Need I say more? Well, there will be milkshakes...

I am uber-excited about our art event coming up on May 15th.
We have been planning and scheming for weeks and have partnered with some of the best businesses in Austin! For those of you in the dark, our event "Local is Luxe" is taking place at the store on May 15th from 5-8pm. We are featuring the art of Kevin Greer, who will be debuting new and exciting works on our walls! (So amazing!!!) There will be delicious eats by Chick-fil-A and Viva Chocolato, as well as yummy cocktails by Paula's Texas Spirits and wine by Metric Liquor. For those of you in the know about the show, THIS JUST IN: Dj blend*e is joining the lineup as our in-house dj for the night! We are so pumped! Check her out on myspace, and you will see why!

Viva Chocolato and Luxe for Susan G. Komen!!!

Promoting Breast Cancer Awareness Through Fashion with Cocoa Couture for the Cure!

That's right, your very own luxe apothetique is partnering with Viva Chocolato!, a locally-owned Euro Cafe, Wine Pairing Bar, Chocolate and Gelato House at the Domain, to raise funds in support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Stop by our location during SIMON fashion NOW festivities today, March 28th, and check out the handbag-shaped gourmet cake being sold in the silent auction for Cocoa Couture for the Cure. What fashionable femme doesn't need a handbag-shaped cake?

To make the offer even sweeter (though what could be sweeter than buying a cake for a good cause...) we have thrown in a goodie bag worth over $150 and just bursting with luxury hair goods from Kerastase and Bumble and bumble. There is a $50 gift certificate for our store, and for those of you feeling uber-chocolatey, we included yummy chocolate body dust and sensual chocolate body paint!

Make the rounds at the Domain and scope the other silent auction creations (all chocolate , of course!) stationed at St. Thomas Boutique and bettysport. The auction ends this evening, March 28th, and bids are being placed as we speak! Help us make this event a success. All proceeds benefit and are paid directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Luxe apothetique is your one-stop shop for a fashionable lifestyle.

Tonight, March 27, luxe will be featured in SIMON fashion NOW's runway show along with other high-end retailers from The Domain. The show begins at 7p.m., and our models will be strutting their stuff in styles from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Current/Elliot, Diane von Furstenburg, Twelfth St.  by Cynthia Vincent, Rachel Pally, Rory Beca and 3.1 Phillip Lim.  Boyfriend jeans, bright patent bags, and flowy maxi dresses, are the look this season.  See how we work last season's trends into this season's new silhouettes and shapes.

Our resident makeup artist, Wendy K., can make you over with the Bare Minerals Get Started Kit at the Style Shop, located right outside the SIMON fashion NOW tent.  You and your girlfriends can get a flawless face while sipping a complimentary cocktail!

The fashiontastic weekend continues on Saturday with another fashion show featuring luxe apothetique at 3p.m., and a chic Post-Show Party commences at 7:30, emceed  by Carson Kressley from Queer Eye and How to Look Good Naked.  Drinks, desserts, Carson Kressley, and music by The Sophisticates...what more could a luxie ask for?

The Dermalogica skin bar is coming to Luxe Apothetique!

Join us for the Dermalogica skin care event!

Dermalogica will be hosting a "skin bar" at luxe on March 26 from 4 to 7p.m. Come visit us and you can get a free Face Mapping skin analysis, perform your own mini treatment and play with Dermalogica products with the help of the Dermalogica representative and the staff of luxe apothetique.
